About Our Team
Julia qualified in 2009 as a nutritional therapist and has been running a busy clinic since then. Her specialities are chronic inflammatory conditions, autoimmune disease and digestive health. However, the principles of functional medicine that she uses can be applied to any health condition. Julia always takes a full case history which enables her to plot a timeline of significant health events that may have contributed to current health problems. Julia`s philosophy is that everyone is unique, so a fundamental and personalised approach of uncovering the root of any illness, rather than merely addressing the symptoms, offers the best chance of success.
Julia offers pain therapy using InterX and SCENAR technology. This is a unique type of interactive neurostimulation that constantly adjusts its activity depending on changes in the body that it detects. It is a drug-free approach to dealing with pain that may be caused by complex chronic disease or acute injuries. Julia usually recommends courses of 4-6 sessions although many people benefit from their first single session. Julia will always tailor a programme to your personal needs.
Julia has a BSc (hons) degree in Human Physiology and is a senior lecturer at the College of Naturopathic Medicine, specialising in biomedicine and biochemistry. Her book, `Treating Arthritis: The Supplements Guide`, was published in 2012.
Julia is a member of the British Association of Nutritional Therapists (BANT), a member of the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM) and is on the register for the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
