Liz Cohen
Chartered Physiotherapist
Liz qualified in 1995 with BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy from Brunel University College. She worked in the NHS specialising in Neurology from 1998. From September 2004 to date she has worked at the University of Birmingham as a Clinical Tutor, both supporting students and their educators on placement and teaching elements of Neurological Rehabilitation to BSc and MSc entry level students. In 2009 Liz graduated with a post graduate Masters degree (with merit) in Specialist Neurological Rehabilitation from the University of Birmingham. Her placement was focussed on FES (Functional Electrical Stimulation) and her dissertation was looking at the potential use of the Nintendo Wii Fit in stroke rehabilitation with some encouraging results.
Liz has a wealth of experience in general medical, elderly care and Neurology and is a trained Bobath therapist, and has completed the full FES training. She is registered with the HPC and is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists with an interest in Neurology (ACPIN).
