MRI, CT, X-ray & Ultrasound scans

In conjunction with your GP or Consultant we are delighted to be able to arrange the following investigations through CMC Imaging at Heath Lodge Clinic (West Midlands) Please see http://www.cmcimaging.co.uk/ for more details regarding the scans listed below:

Heath Lodge Clinic opened in 2009 having been acquired by CMC Imaging which has been open since 1998. It lies on the borders of Solihull, south of Birmingham, 300 yards from junction 5 of the M42 motorway, with excellent transport links including bus and rail. The clinic benifits from a large free private car park. The beautiful 1930`s house, which is set in four acres of ground, has been sympathetically converted into a several private consulting suites, retaining much of its original character.

The facilities include two open MRI scanners, a digital X-ray and ultrasound suite. All scanning is supervised by a Consultant Radiologist with more than 15 years MR experience in the NHS and Private sector. Costs are minimised wherever possible, without compromising quality.

The imaging facilities presently include two open MRI scanners in a purpose built extension which is the only facility of its kind in Europe. The first MR scanner is a high field, (1.5T) with a particularly wide bore which means that it is suitable for larger patients, and can provide particularly detailed images, for example neuro-imaging. The other machine is a mid field C shaped magnet, open on three sides, but with very high image quality and capable of the full range of examinations, including dynamic orthopaedic studies.

Both of these machines are particularly suitable for claustrophobic patients. Having the two machines offers great flexibility and the capacity to offer same day appointments to patients. They will leave with a copy of their images and the report will be issued to their clinician within 4 days, by system specialist radiologists.
